Yoga is the yoking of mind, body, and spirit through breath, meditation, and physical asanas to achieve a balanced and more God-connected life. As a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, I lead classes and workshops that focus on not just the physical aspects of yoga, but also those parts of us that dream, visualize, and strive for a better world.
Join me for Sunday evening yoga for all community practice at North Olmsted United Methodist Church, 4600 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Classes are structured to achieve restoration and relaxation, letting go of the week left behind and preparing for the week ahead. Classes begin at 7PM. A $10 donation is suggested, with part of the proceeds going to church mission projects.
I also participate in the community yoga program at St. John Westshore Hospital in Westlake. Teachers rotate leading classes at 8AM on Saturdays and 5PM on Wednesdays. We are committed to bringing a yoga state of mind to our students. Suggested donation is $10 and supports community programs.
AND . . . join me for the first Serenity Yoga Retreat, Living Your Yoga retreat weekend at Lakeside during the weekend of March 31 to April 2. I’ll be co-leading the weekend with Gail Johnson, niece of Joan Barris, who owns the Idlewyld Bed and Breakfast. This is where we’ll convene for meaningful presence throughout the weekend. Email me for a copy of our brochure and reserve your spot by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and making your deposit here:
The Idlewyld Bed and Breakfast in Lakeside, Ohio (www.idlewyldbb.com) is a comfortable and homey place to unwind and rejuvenate. Create a vision board, explore a walking meditation – possibly on the water, practice vinyasa and yoga nidra, discuss Judith Lasatar’s book “Living Your Yoga,” explore essential oils, and create healthy meals with other yoga enthusiasts. Once you arrive, you won’t have to worry about a thing—all meals and activities are included in the weekend cost of $249 for a shared room and $359 for a private room. Rooms are assigned by date of registration—the earlier you sign up, the better the room. Anyone who reserves their space for the entire weekend before February 1 receives a $25 discount. A Saturday DAY-only option is available for $89, and a one-night option is available for $169 for a shared room but we strongly encourage you to stay with us all weekend. The $75 is non-refundable after February 28. Please contact Gail Johnson at email@example.com or Claudia Taller at Claudia.firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Find out more about Gail at http://yogalifestyle4you.com.
